SUMMARY:RETREAT—Transforming Our Negative Emotions Through the Six Lokas
DESCRIPTION:Transforming our negative emotions through the Six Lokas\nEach of us suffers from strong emotions at one time or another\, which throw us off balance\, cause us to take actions that we later regret\, and disconnect us from the clear\, open space of our true nature. Centuries ago\, the masters of the Tibetan Bon Buddhism lineage developed the meditations of the Six Lokas (realms of existence) specifically to meet our strong emotions\, find the medicine in them and live our lives in a balanced and relaxed way. These meditations focus on the root causes of our suffering: anger\, greed\, ignorance\, jealousy\, pride\, and laziness—the six destructive emotions that stand in the way of enlightenment. In each meditation\, we reflect on our habitual patterns so that we can recognize them instead of being driven by them. Then we invoke the enlightened energy of the Buddhas to purify and transform these patterns so that their antidotes can be love\, generosity\, wisdom\, openness\, peacefulness and compassion arise. The practices of the\nSix Lokas have a deeply healing and transforming power and are traditionally practiced as a precursor to Dzogchen contemplation. \nTenzin Rinpoche invites everyone to explore these powerful teachings and apply them in our lives. During this retreat\, Rinpoche will explain how physical movements\, breath\, mantra\, visualization\, and contemplation can deeply purify the seeds of our karmic patterns and support healing. \nVenue:  Dialoghotel „Am Spiegeln“ (www.amspiegeln.at)\nJohann-Hörbiger-Gasse 30\, 1230 Wien \nAccess: https://amspiegeln.at/lage-anreise/ (route planner for public transport and\ncars) \nDate: Saturday\, May 9th: Seminar 10:00 – 18:00\nSunday\, May 10th: Seminar 09:00 – 16:00\nThe seminar will be translated from English into German. \nCost: € 190\,- for the seminar\n€ 160\,- (members of Ligmincha Austria e.V.)\n€ 120\,- online / € 100\,- for members of Ligmincha Austria\n(reduction on request: info@ligmincha.at) \nIf you cancel your booking less than two weeks before the event date\, the seminar fee\npaid will not be refunded. SUMMARY:RETREAT—Chöd\, Part 1 with Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche
DESCRIPTION:Cutting through Fear and Attachment: The Practice of Chöd in the Bon Tradition\nMany of life’s challenges arise from fear and attachment—the core obstacles to recognizing our true nature. Chöd\, an ancient Tibetan practice\, offers a direct and creative way to cut through these patterns. Traditionally practiced in wild or challenging environments\, Chöd uses chant\, rhythm\, and visualization to meet fear with wisdom and compassion. At its heart\, the practice reveals that what we fear externally reflects inner attachments and emotional habits. In cutting through our negativities we transform our inner and outer worlds\, heal ourselves\, and open up toward our full creative potential and presence. \nIn this teaching\, you’ll explore how to transform fear\, dissolve emotional conflict\, and reconnect you with your natural state—open\, aware\, creative\, and fearless. Our Chöd retreat will consist of 2 separate weekends in 2026: April 25 + 26 and October 24 + 25 \nLocation:The Berkeley Alembic2820 Seventh St\, Berkeley\, CA 94710In person : $185/ low income $125Zoom: Sliding scale $85-$130 \nFor any questions contact: Susan Killian susansnyderk@gmail.com \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n In-person Registration\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Online Registration

SUMMARY:RETREAT—Dream Yoga
DESCRIPTION:Tibetan Dream Yoga with Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche\nMarch 9–13\, 2026 \nWe sleep one-third of our lifetime\, an average of 20 to 25 years. Dream yoga is a practice that spans every moment\, waking and sleeping. It is a powerful tool of awakening used for hundreds of years by the great masters of the Tibetan traditions. \nFoundational practices in dream yoga change the practitioner’s relationship to all experiences\, develop conscious awareness\, and often lead to lucidity in dreams. Unlike in the Western psychological approach to dreams\, the ultimate goal of Tibetan dream yoga is the recognition of the nature of the mind or enlightenment itself. \nTenzin Wangyal Rinpoche will discuss the relationships between dream and waking\, and dream and death. He will show how the causes of dreams are related to the six chakras\, and how we can heal blocks in the chakras. He will teach the “four preparations” for sleep and the uses and methods of lucid dreaming. \nTenzin Wangyal Rinpoche is one of very few masters of the Tibetan Bön Dzogchen tradition living in the West. He founded Ligmincha International\, and is known for his ability to make Tibetan practices easily accessible to all students. Rinpoche is the author of nine books\, including Wonders of the Natural Mind and The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep. \n\n \n Learn More & Register
