Alejandro Madero

Alejandro Madero

Alejandro Madero was born on December 10, 1983, in Torreón, Coahuila, a city located in northern Mexico. Coming from a family of dedicated Buddhist practitioners, he was introduced to Buddhist meditation at the age of 12. This early experience set the foundation for a lifelong path of spiritual exploration and commitment.

Nineteen years ago, Alejandro encountered his beloved teacher, Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, whose guidance has been central to his spiritual journey. Since then, he has traveled internationally to attend teachings and retreats, deepening his understanding and practice within the Yungdrung Bön tradition.

Together with his wife, Paulina Garza, Alejandro is deeply committed to preserving and sharing the wisdom of Bön Buddhism. They are co-founders of a Montessori school where they have integrated meditation into the curriculum for children as young as three years old, drawing inspiration from the “Three Doors” program.

In addition to his educational and spiritual work, Alejandro supports the continuity of the local Bön community, Chamma Ling Torreón, under the leadership of his father, Carlos Madero. The center is dedicated to the practice and preservation of the Yungdrung Bön lineage and serves as a space for collective growth and inner development.

As a newly appointed advisor to Ligmincha International, Alejandro brings with him a deep sense of devotion, years of experience in spiritual practice, and a heartfelt desire to serve the community and contribute to the flourishing of the Bön tradition around the world.
