Erick Rinner
Erick, a Luxembourger, joined the Ligmincha International Board in July 2025, and shares his life between Luxembourg and Vevey, Switzerland.
He met Tibetan Buddhism and medicine in 2005 as he was dealing with a severe auto-immune disease. Further to studying in the Gelugpa school for more than 10 years, Erick met Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche in 2017 and felt a very strong heart connection with the Bön Dzogchen tradition. He has been a student of Bön since then and the teachings have had a profound impact on his life, in particular when he went through a very successful kidney transplant in 2023 thanks to his life partner and with the close support of Rinpoche.
He has a 35-year experience in private investments and corporate governance; he is still chairman of his own investment firm in Luxembourg and is also a co-founder and partner of Impact Expansion, a social and environmental fund.
Erick's core skills include initiating change at board level, negotiation, advising management teams on value creation and leadership. He sits on the board of private companies and trusts in Luxembourg, Switzerland, Germany, France and Belgium.
Erick has been on the board of a few NGOs in Europe including Mind and Life Europe (since 2018) and is the ex-chairman and board member of Karuna-Shechen, the foundation of Matthieu Ricard (20214-2024).
He is an Executive-in-Residence at IMD in Lausanne where he teaches mind training and mindful leadership to multinational companies and is a visiting meditation teacher in the University of Strasbourg (France) in the Medicine, Meditation and Neurosciences program. Erick gives 100% of his teaching fees to NGOs.
He received his MBA from Columbia Business School in New York (Award for Excellence).
