Tuesday, June 25, 2024 Soul Retrieval with Lama Kalsang Nyima

Lama Kalsang Nyima, resident lama of Ligmincha Mexico, has been with us at Serenity Ridge since May.

During one of his recent workshops for the community, he offered teachings, performed a soul retrieval ritual, and guided participants in making their own ritual arrows (dadar) used for this ritual.

In an upcoming session open to all, Lama Kalsang Nyima will offer an overview of the soul retrieval ritual to introduce those who are interested in learning more about this ancient healing practice. This ritual is designed to help restore and heal our life force.

Thursday, June 27, 2024  Tibetan wedding with Khandro Tsering Wangmo Khymsar

Khandro Tsering Wangmo Khymsar is deeply steeped in the life, rituals and traditions of Yungdrung Bön religion and culture.

On this occasion, she will talk about the background and characteristics of traditional Tibetan weddings. She will also share recent photos and interesting insights from a recent Tibetan wedding she attended.

Tuesday, July 2, 2024 The Chöd practice with Geshe Denma Gyaltsen

Geshe Denma Gyaltsen, resident lama of Ligmincha Texas, will be with us for the entire summer retreat. During this evening talk, he will give us an introduction to the Practice of Chöd. Chöd literally means “to cut”. In this ancient practice we cut our self-cherishing behaviors as they manifest through the five poisons of anger, attachment, jealousy, ignorance, and pride.
