Event Details
Join us this January for our first Tummo practice retreat at Serenity Ridge! Led by Geshe Yungdrung Gyatso, this retreat is intended to support practitioners who have participated in Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche’s Tummo teachings. Geshe Gyatso will give some instruction and advice on all the components of Tummo that Rinpoche has covered in his current teaching cycle: the prayers, nine breathings, tsa lung, the ordinary and extraordinary preliminaries, and the practice of jam lung; but the focus will be on developing a deeper familiarity and experience with the practices. Geshe-la will also be available for private meetings to discuss the practice for students who attend in person.
This retreat may be attended for three or for seven days, in person at Serenity Ridge or online via Zoom.
Students who have the time are strongly encouraged to stay for the full week to experience the fullest ripening of their practice. Because the mission of Ligmincha is not only to preserve and share the Bön teachings but also to see their capacity for personal and social transformation come to fruition, the cost of attending practice retreats is kept to a minimum.
Newcomers are welcome! All who attend this retreat, including those new to the practice of Tummo, will meet the prerequisite to attend the teachings of Tummo Part 4 by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche at the summer retreats in Serenity Ridge in Virginia, and at Chamma Ling Wilga, in Poland in 2024.

About Geshe Yungrdung Gyatso
Geshe Yungdrung Gyatso is a resident lama at our Chamma Ling center in Wilga, near Warsaw.
Geshe Gyatso was born in Dolpo in the town of Bicher in 1980, where the oldest Bon monastery, Dolpo Samling, is located. He began his Geshe studies at Triten Norbutse Monastery in 1994 and graduated in 2009. After obtaining his degree, Geshe went on a 100-day retreat, practicing Tsa Lung and Trul Khor (working with breath, channels, chakras and movement).
In 2010 and 2011, when he was a board member of Triten Norbutse Monastery, Geshe Gyatso got to know Geshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche well because Rinpoche visited him regularly. On his third visit to Europe, he met Rinpoche in Berlin. In 2013, Tenzin Rinpoche asked Geshe Gyatso if he would like to stay in Poland and teach in the Polish Sangha and other European Sanghas. Geshe Gyatso arrived at Chiamma Ling in Wilga in January 2015 and officially became Lama of Chiamma Ling in March 2015.
Since then, many retreats combined with teachings and exercises have been held in Wilga in various cities in Poland, throughout Europe and in the United States. Geshe Gyatso is often asked to perform special rituals. He is a fluent speaker of the English language.
