August Weekend Service Retreat

Serenity Ridge is listening to our local community. We hear the desire to re-open the Center to support Three Doors practitioners in their retreats.

To open we need your help! The center has been closed since April of 2020. There is much to be done, including setting up the kitchen, cleaning interior spaces, washing windows, gardening and grounds work. This weekend service retreat will offer opportunities to practice together and  time for socializing, and lunch and snacks each day.  At this time Serenity Ridge requires that guests are vaccinated. Masks are required if you are working indoors. Social distancing is suggested. Temperature checks will be done at check in. Anyone with a temperature will not be allowed to participate.

Initially our service retreat was going to be a three-day event. Due to the rapid increase in the Delta variant of the Covid-19 virus, our August service retreat has been reduced to Friday and Saturday only and limited to commuting volunteers.  While there will still be plenty of work to do to help bring Serenity Ridge back to its beautiful self, our focus is on creating a great weekend experience while also keeping our volunteers safe.  No overnight stays will be offered, and all activity will conclude by 4:30pm on Saturday evening.

9 a.m.–10:00 a.m. Arrival, check-in 
10 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Service
12:30 p.m.–1:00 p.m. Lunch provided by Serenity Ridge
1 p.m.–1:30 p.m. Group Practice
2 p.m.–4:30 p.m. Service

Saturday
9 a.m.–9:30 a.m. Alternative arrival and check in
9:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Service
12 p.m.–1:00 p.m. Lunch provided by Serenity Ridge
1 p.m.–1:30 p.m. Group Practice
2 p.m.–4:30 p.m. Service
