Known as a Bön bell, it is flat bell, where the handle and the center of the bell meet, there is a lotus design representing purity.
Sil Nyen should never be left facing down.
Bon rituals and prayers use sound for connecting to the invisible deities. It is believed that only these sounds can wake up and communicate with the invisible deities.
