Hands-On Service Retreat at Serenity Ridge

Calling all carpenters, painters, handypeople, skilled helpers and cooks!

Serenity Ridge Retreat Center is inviting you to take part in a special Service Retreat—a 1 to 10 day opportunity to lend your hands, tools, and heart to meaningful projects that support the beauty and functionality of our sacred retreat land.

We’re gathering a team of generous and skilled volunteers to help with:
🔨 Painting buildings and outdoor railings
🪚 Replacing siding and completing light carpentry projects
🖌️ Staining decks
🔧 General repairs and maintenance

We invite you to stay at Serenity Ridge for up to nine days and earn credit for future retreats, including the Dzogchen Silent Retreat with Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche beginning September 30-–October 5th. Alongside your work time, you’ll have space for personal retreat, rest, meditation, and reflection in the peace of our beautiful Blue Ridge surroundings.
