Host Training Program
The Host Training Program facilitates the creation of non-affiliated practice groups that meet to study, practice and discuss the teachings of the Bön tradition as taught by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, Ligmincha’s Resident Lamas, and our Western teachers.
Hosting is a commitment to deepen one’s personal practice through service. Our ability to selflessly serve others with compassion and wisdom depends on our own commitment to self-development and realization.
To apply to become a Host there are several prerequisites
- The applicant must have a daily meditation practice for at least the prior twelve months, based on the teachings of Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche as found in his books, videos and retreats.
- The applicant must have read both Awakening the Luminous Mind, and Awakening the Sacred Body, both by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche.
- The applicant should have completed both introduction to meditation courses found at LigminchaLearning.com, “Starting a Meditation Practice” and “Starting a Meditation Practice, Pt. 2”, which are available for free and are self-paced.
- If you live in a country in which Ligmincha already has a presence, you will need to obtain permission from that Ligmincha organization to start a group. See our international centers page for contacts.
To complete the Host Training Program and be authorized as a host
- The Host must complete the application form.
- The Host must watch the Host training videos found on LigminchaLearning.com and then pass the brief quiz regarding the video content.
- The Host must read the terms of agreement and consent to them prior to any first group meeting. This is done within the Host Training Program on LigminchaLearning.com.
- The Host will print out and retain a certificate documenting completion of the Host Training Program.
To access the host training videos, agreement and other resources, please fill out the application form. Upon review of your application you will receive a code necessary to enroll in the Host Training Program at LigminchaLearning.com.
