Tonpa Shenrap Miwoche, a fully enlightened being brought these teachings to what is now Tibet. Additional teachings and practices come to us from the realized men and women who followed the path he set out. Because Tonpa Shenrap is a fully realized buddha, Bön’s teachings are Buddhist.
A Work Exchange Program takes place during all Serenity Ridge retreats. Participants work two to three hours each day of the retreat, plus an additional two to three hours either before the retreat begins or immediately after its conclusion. Participants are credited $10 per hour for each hour of service work performed, to be applied toward the cost of registration for that retreat.
Most people will work two hours per day; however, in rare cases, and especially for those coming to Serenity Ridge from far away, we also may be able to provide three hours of work per day. A work exchange at this higher level will mean that the participant will have little free time once teachings, practice and work are taken into account.
