The Invocation of Tapihritsa is one of the most important prayers in the Bön dzogchen tradition. Tapihritsa, an historical person of the early 8th century, achieved full realization and manifested the rainbow body as an expression of that realization. Inseparable from Kuntu Zangpo (Samantabhadra), he represents the union of all masters, especially one’s own root lama (teacher). It is this prayer that H.E. Yongdzin Lopon Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche, Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche’s root lama, and teacher to many in our sangha, recited during his final days and moments, fully abiding in the natural state of mind and self-arising wisdom.
The Invocation of Tapihritsa is not only beautiful, but also a profound expression of the natural state. It reveals not only all the qualities of our own enlightened nature, but also describes the path and fruit of practicing dzogchen meditation.
Over the course of two 90-minute sessions, Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche will explain the meaning of this prayer and how it can lead us to recognizing our own rangjung yeshe, or self-arising wisdom. This half day teaching will be an invaluable complement for all those who attended his summer retreats this year at Serenity Ridge, in Buchenau, German, and at Chamma Ling Poland, in which the Invocation was recited in almost every session, and those interested in attending the winter Dzogchen retreat in January at Serenity Ridge. It is also a wonderful opportunity to deepen our connection to H.E. Yongdzin Rinpoche, who held it especially close to his heart throughout his life, and especially at the time of his dying.
This retreat will be recorded. Recordings will be available for 30 days post retreat.

Breath is the gateway to greater ease, energy, and clarity. Yet, most of us don’t breathe in a way that truly supports us. At this weekend’s Tsa Lung retreat, you’ll be guided in powerful practices that open the body, calm the mind, and awaken a deeper sense of well-being. Come discover the freedom and vitality that live within each breath.
Conscious, regulated breathing can bring vitality to our body and clarity to our mind. Uniting our attention with our breath expands our presence in each moment of life, allowing us to respond with greater wisdom and compassion—and with less ego, anger, and pride.
Held at Serenity Ridge and also offered online by Zoom, Khenpo Tsultrim Tenzin Rinpoche will teach a specific breathing technique designed to release tension, agitation and drowsiness from the body and mind, and leave us in a clear and open state that facilitates meditation and our general well being. Participants who commit to the practice, which takes little time and is easily learned, may experience increased energy, more radiant health, and the inner warmth of joy and bliss while nurturing compassion and wisdom. This program is tailored for modern practitioners from both Eastern and Western backgrounds, making these ancient techniques accessible to all. Come discover the freedom and vitality that live within each breath.
Watch the interview with Drubdra Khenpo Rinpoche with Rob Patzig on the importance and benefit of Tsa Lung practice.

Come practice Dzogchen meditation with a true master of the Bön tradition! Drubdra Khenpo Tsultrim Tenzin Rinpoche is the Abbot of the meditation school at Triten Norbutse in Nepal. He is an exceptional teacher and practitioner, recognized for his deep knowledge and dedication to the practices of Tsalung and Trulkhor. Drubdra Khenpo Rinpoche will be supported by Marcy Vaughn as our retreat’s umze, and Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche will join by zoom every other day to provide additional instruction and comments on the teachings.
Our focus this year is twofold. Our initial weekend will be oriented around the Invocation of Tapihritsa, a prayer of great beauty that describes and praises the qualities of the natural state. In the second phase of our retreat, Drubdra Khenpo will teach from the 21 Nails, among the most succinct and profound articulations of the natural state (the clear light of awareness) in any spiritual tradition. He will draw from this sacred text to support our recognition and resting in the nature of mind.
Attend this as a 2-day or a 7-day retreat. All participants will arrive on Friday, January 2, the day for checking in, settling into your room (if you are staying onsite), a light dinner and a guided practice. Our weekend guests will join us for teachings on the Invocation of Tapihritsa. Those continuing with the longer retreat will continue on. Beginning on January 03, the Drubdra Khenpo will begin to draw on the 21 Nails to guide our meditations. For those unable to attend in person, both options will be offered online via Zoom.
About Drubdra Khenpo
Khenpo Tsultrim Tenzin Rinpoche’ was born in the Hor’ region of East Tibet (Kham’), in 1968 to a Bönpo family of nomadic cattle herders. As a boy, he tended his family’s sheep and yaks, and learnt reading and writing from his grandfather. At nineteen, he entered Lungkar Monastery. During this time, Tsultrim Tenzin completed the traditional preliminary practices and studied Tibetan grammar and poetry as well as Bönpo philosophy. Tsultrim Tenzin served as umze, or chant master, for three years in the Lungkar Monastery.
At the age of twenty-five, he went to Menri’s Monastery in Central Tibet to study with Pönlob Kalzang Nyima’ from whom he received teachings on Denö Dzö’ authored by Shardza Trashi Gyaltsen Rinpoche’ (1859-1935) and the A-Thril’ Bönpo Dzogchen manual. At this time he also gained the experiential understanding of Great Perfection.
In 1993, Tsultrim Tenzin made the arduous journey to Triten Norbutse Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal, to study intensively with his root Master, Yongdzin Lopön Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche, under whose guidance he deepened his knowledge of Sutra, Tantra and Dzogchen. He also learnt astrology, traditional Tibetan medicine, and Sanskrit. While studying, Tsultrim Tenzin served as the monastery’s chant master for six years, and as gekhöz (disciplinarian) for three years. After completing the 14-year study programme, he passed the Geshe examination in 2001 and received his degree.
In 2002, Tsultrim Tenzin was appointed by Yongdzin Lopön Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche as Drubdra Khenpo – Abbot of the Meditation School – in Triten Norbutse Monastery. Since then he has been teaching Dzogchen in the meditation school there as well as giving instructions on Sutra, Tantra, Dzogchen, astrology and mandala and painting in the monastic dialectic school.
Alongside teaching, Khenpo Tsultrim Tenzin Rinpoche practices Dzogchen meditation and Magyu tsalung, thrulkhor and tummo for two hours every morning. He sometimes travels to Tibet, China, Japan, Europe and England to teach Dzogchen, Tantra and tsalung. This is Rinpoche’s first visit to the United States.

Inner Smile of the Heart, Part 3: Cardiac Coherence as a Portal to Meditation
A live online dialogue with HeartMath practitioner Guy Desbiolles and host Alejandro Chaoul, Ph.D.
Note new broadcast time, one hour later than originally scheduled.
What if your heart was more than just a pump keeping you alive? Across cultures and throughout history, the heart has been seen as the center of consciousness, emotion, and wisdom — a bridge linking body, mind, and spirit. The practice of cardiac coherence reveals that when our heart rhythms are in harmony, our minds become clearer, our emotions steadier, and our sense of well-being deeper. Might this practice also bring us closer to the heart’s inherent intelligence and wisdom?

On December 4, 2025, join us online for a 10 a.m. meditation guided by Mai-Linh Leminhbach, followed by a 24-hour session of silent contemplation alternating with periods of guided meditation. Our online gathering offers a sacred space in which we acknowledge personal pain and societal challenges while abiding within the open, clear, warmth of presence — who we truly are. Each month the 24-hour session begins with a guided meditation at 10 a.m. New York time on the day of the full moon and continues unbroken until 10 a.m. the following day. We are supported by Ligmincha International’s global community of practitioners. Participants are welcome to enter the session at any time during the 24 hours, for at least half an hour’s practice at a time. Unlike CyberSangha® Facebook Live broadcasts, the 24-hour full moon practice takes place via Zoom. Its simple group meditation is open to anyone regardless of one’s religious or spiritual background. Special Meditation Course: “Dissolving the Seeds of Samsara”
The Meditation Practice of the Six Lokas
taught by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche,
a renowned Dzogchen master known for bringing the profound wisdom
of the Tibetan Bön Buddhist tradition into the modern world.
Date & Time: Fri–Sat, December 5–6, 2025 • 10:00–17:00
Place: Dechen Institute, 1st floor, Regent House Building 2, Ratchadamri Rd., Bangkok, Thailand
This course presents the heart teachings that guide us to explore our inner worlds of emotions and afflictions across six realms, transforming them into the radiant light of wisdom, love, and compassion. Through this transformation, karmic imprints stored in the alaya consciousness—which shape our emotional patterns and lead to suffering—are naturally dissolved.
The Six Lokas practice is one of the powerful methods from the Dzogchen cycle known as “Rigdruk Rangjung” originating from the Zhang Zhung Nyen Gyü. This teaching has been adapted by Rinpoche to contemporary contexts, making it deeply relevant and accessible to modern practitioners.
In this course, Rinpoche will guide us in meditation and mantra recitation to transform anger into love, jealousy into flexibility, and destructive emotions into wisdom.
Suitable for all who are interested in Dzogchen teachings and the inner path of transformation.
Printed learning materials will be provided.

About the Retreat
This retreat is rooted in the ancient yogic practices of Tsa Lung, drawn from the Mother Tantra.
Each day will introduce one of the five elemental Tsa Lung exercises, corresponding to the five elements — earth, water, fire, air, and space — and the five energy centers of the body.
These practices are designed to:
- Release energy blockages
- Awaken subtle awareness
- Open the doorway to the five pure dimensions of consciousness, known as the Five Wisdoms

Tibetan Dream Yoga with Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche
March 9–13, 2026
We sleep one-third of our lifetime, an average of 20 to 25 years. Dream yoga is a practice that spans every moment, waking and sleeping. It is a powerful tool of awakening used for hundreds of years by the great masters of the Tibetan traditions.
Foundational practices in dream yoga change the practitioner’s relationship to all experiences, develop conscious awareness, and often lead to lucidity in dreams. Unlike in the Western psychological approach to dreams, the ultimate goal of Tibetan dream yoga is the recognition of the nature of the mind or enlightenment itself.
Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche will discuss the relationships between dream and waking, and dream and death. He will show how the causes of dreams are related to the six chakras, and how we can heal blocks in the chakras. He will teach the “four preparations” for sleep and the uses and methods of lucid dreaming.
Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche
Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche is one of very few masters of the Tibetan Bön Dzogchen tradition living in the West. He founded Ligmincha International, and is known for his ability to make Tibetan practices easily accessible to all students. Rinpoche is the author of nine books, including Wonders of the Natural Mind and The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep.

Transforming Life and Health through Nature, Movement, Breath, and Meditation
Through stillness, silence and awareness, make genuine contact with the sky of your being. Your recognition of this inner spaciousness is the inner sun that shines. The internal warmth allows the flowering of infinite positive qualities in your life. – Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche

Introduction
Welcome to a profound journey of transformation. Over three years, under the guidance of Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, we invite you to explore the living power of the Five Elements—Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space—and to rediscover the deep harmony that connects us to the natural world and to our own true essence. This training will teach you how to bring the healing and balancing power of the elements not only into your own life, but also into your relationships with others and the natural world.
Successful completion of the full three-year certification program will give you the tools and skills to share:
- How to recognize elemental imbalances in one’s body, emotions and nature
- Tools for restoring balance to the elements and the physical world through:
- Offerings
- Mudras (sacred hand gestures)
- Mantras
- Simple, powerful ways to retrieve elemental essences by being and resting in nature
- Finding our own inner refuge through connecting to sacred stillness, silence and spaciousness
- Retrieving lost or damaged life force and elemental energies by connecting with one’s inner refuge
- The Nine Breaths of Purification
- The five External Tsa Lung Exercises.
The Three-Year Training Program
Year One: Reconnecting with the Physical Elements
In the first year, we focus on the physical qualities of each element—their roles in the environment, in our bodies, how they support one another, and how they can grow unbalanced. Through prayers, mantra, meditation, mudras, and offerings, we will learn to connect intimately with the living world, restoring harmony not only externally but within ourselves.
These practices will also be applied inwardly, to your own body: retrieving lost essences, restoring balance, and nurturing physical health. This first year is very hands-on, encouraging you to pay close attention to your body with love and care—exploring diet, sleep, movement, and breathing practices as ways to connect to the natural world. You will learn to enhance your physical relationship with each element and to feel grounded in your body in a deeply practical, embodied way.
Year Two: Deepening Your Relationship with the Living Elements*
The second year invites us to experience the elements as living, sacred beings—elemental goddesses whose wisdom and power can heal deep places of suffering and injury in us and in the world. Through visualization, transformation, mantra, and breath, we will learn to retrieve lost qualities, reclaim energy, personal power, and reconnect with spirit.
This year also emphasizes the subtle influence of the elements on mental and emotional landscapes. We will explore how thoughts and feelings are shaped by these energies, and how to restore balance, clarity, and emotional freedom, cultivating harmony within ourselves and in our interactions with the world.
Year Three: Awakening the Wisdom of the Elements Within
In the final year, Rinpoche will guide us toward understanding the wisdom of the five elements as pure, innate energies that can be accessed through the practice of inner refuge. Drawn from the ancient Tibetan practice of soul retrieval, we will discover ways to connect to the true source of healing and wellness that exists within us all.
From deep within our own spirit we will bring healing to every level of the elements in ourselves, and learn to nourish and renew them in relationships, community, and the world around us. This is a journey of awakening our natural ability to restore balance, vitality, and joy, both within and beyond ourselves.
This 3-year training program invites you to come home to yourself—body, mind, and spirit—and carry that healing presence into the world. As you restore balance within, you become a source of transformation for all around you.
This three-year training includes:
- Three in-person retreats at Serenity Ridge Center:
-

Attend this as a 2-day retreat.
This is Rinpoche’s first visit to the United States.
If you are interested in staying onsite, please contact Johannah at sr.registration@ligmincha.org or Shelly at sr.office@ligmincha.org to be placed on the waitlist for lodging. We will do our best to accommodate room requests.

Dates: February 20–24, 2026
Location: Pharping, Kathmandu, Nepal
About the Retreat
This retreat is rooted in the ancient yogic practices of Tsa Lung, drawn from the Mother Tantra.
Each day will introduce one of the five elemental Tsa Lung exercises, corresponding to the five elements — earth, water, fire, air, and space — and the five energy centers of the body.
These practices are designed to:
- Release energy blockages
- Awaken subtle awareness
- Open the doorway to the five pure dimensions of consciousness, known as the Five Wisdoms
Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche
One of the most respected and beloved teachers of the Bön Buddhist tradition, the ancient spiritual tradition of Tibet.
Renowned for his clarity, warmth, and practical teaching style, Rinpoche has dedicated his life to making the wisdom of Bön accessible to the modern world.

Rest, Nourish, Realize and Renew:
Transforming Life and Health through Nature, Movement, Breath, and Meditation
Through stillness, silence and awareness, make genuine contact with the sky of your being. Your recognition of this inner spaciousness is the inner sun that shines. The internal warmth allows the flowering of infinite positive qualities in your life. – Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche
As spring awakens, the world comes alive—longer days, fresh growth, returning birds, and gentle rains that nurture new life. By connecting with these natural rhythms, we support our own wellbeing. This retreat is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and bring awareness, renewal, and transformation into everyday life.
Over three days, Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche and guests will share ancient methods, supported by modern research and scientific findings, to realize our inner source of well being and grow beyond often unconscious self-defined limits to engage with our lives in creative, inspired and fun ways. We will discover ways to release stress, decrease anxiety, enhance energy, support health through mindful eating, deepen inner peacefulness, and reconnect to ourselves and the world around us. Be empowered to make healthier choices that support your wellness on every level!

-
-
- April 14–19, 2026 | April 20–25, 2027 | April 4–9, 2028

Resting in Being: A Guided Mindfulness Meditation, Part 3
A monthly live online meditation dialogue led by Aleezé Sattar Moss
Join us for Part 3 of a series of short guided meditations led by Aleezé Sattar Moss, offered regularly each month. Open to everyone, each live session will last about 20 minutes and will be announced ahead of time, allowing participants to plan and join with ease. Aleezé will guide us in mindfulness practices in support of the inner refuge meditations we engage in each month during the 24-Hour Full Moon Practice.
The inner refuge is entered through a practice of deeply abiding in the stillness, silence, and spaciousness of being. It is an opportunity to connect with fullness and completeness in the present moment, and to discover a deep sense of protection amid life’s challenges. We warmly invite you to join this session as we cultivate centering, calm, and presence together amid the busyness of daily life.

24-Hour Full Moon Practice: Finding Refuge Within
On December 4, 2025, join us online for a 10 a.m. meditation guided by Mai-Linh Leminhbach, followed by a 24-hour session of silent contemplation alternating with periods of guided meditation. Our online gathering offers a sacred space in which we acknowledge personal pain and societal challenges while abiding within the open, clear, warmth of presence — who we truly are. Discovering this space of inner refuge is the ultimate sense of protection and supports genuine compassion to emerge to meet the challenges we face individually and collectively.
There is no cost to participate, but registration is required.

Join us for Part 4 of a series of short guided meditations led by Aleezé Sattar Moss, offered regularly each month.
